Eddie Greenhalgh began his real estate career in 2004, opening the Birmingham office of Marcus & Millichap in early 2007. He is currently senior vice president of investments and senior director of the National Self-Storage Group. In addition, he serves as Marcus & Millichap’s broker of record for Alabama, is a senior member of the Alabama Commercial Real Estate Leadership Council, and is a past president of the Alabama Self Storage Association.

Eddie has successfully closed over $2.7 billion in investment real estate in his 15 years with Marcus & Millichap and has been involved in over $4.3 billion in sales throughout his career. He is ranked in the top ten brokers of the National Self-Storage Group, is the leading storage broker in the state of Alabama, and is consistently ranked in the top three in his region for all product types.

He is a member of the CCIM, past president of the Freshwater Land Trust JB, and supporter of Big Brothers/Big Sisters. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, sailing, snowboarding, and croquet.

Jake Payne is a Senior Investment Associate in Marcus & Millichap’s Birmingham office, as well as a Director of the firm’s National Self-Storage Group. In this position, Jake assists owners with acquisitions and dispositions, in addition to providing advisory services. Since joining the firm in 2018, Jake has been involved in more than $500 million in self-storage transactions. Jake graduated from the University of Alabama in 2018 with a degree in finance specializing in real estate.

Jake has been ranked in the top 10 of brokers in the mid-south region 3 years running, as well as being awarded a Sales Recognition Award in 2021 and 2022. Recently, Jake was named to the Birmingham Business Journals “Next Gen Birmingham”, recognizing up and comers in the fields of real estate and construction in the Birmingham area.

Lee Thornton graduated from the University of Alabama in 2021 with a degree in Finance and a minor in Real Estate.

Lee has been involved in over $100 + million in self storage transactions. In just his second year at the firm, Lee ranked in the top 25 brokers of the mid-south region.

Steven Weinstock is a First Vice President / Regional Manager of Marcus & Millichap’s Chicago Oak Brook office. He served as Sales Manager of the Columbus and Cincinnati offices in 2008, was named Regional Manager of Chicago Oak Brook in 2009, Vice President in 2012 and was promoted to First Vice President in 2015. Steven serves as the National Director of both the National Land Group and the National Self Storage Group.

Steven began his commercial real estate career in the 1980’s leasing office properties in metro Detroit. Eventually, he opened his own brokerage and property management company and sold it to Trammell Crow Company in 1994. He joined Marcus & Millichap’s Detroit office in April 2001 becoming Vice President of Investments and was a Director of the National Multi Housing Group and a member of the National Self-Storage Group. Mr. Weinstock is the recipient of multiple national achievement and sales recognition awards.

Steven received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from the University of Michigan and a Juris Doctor degree from Wayne State University Law School. He earned the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation (CCIM). Mr. Weinstock enjoys serving on the Executive Board of the Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation, a foundation committed to cancer research as well as education/mentor programs designed to provide college and graduate students with exposure to and experience in the commercial real estate industry. Steven and his wife, Lisa, reside in Chicago and have two sons, Nathan and Jeremy. In his free time, he enjoys travel, yoga, swimming and spending time with his family.

Jody McKibben is vice president and regional manager of Marcus & Millichap’s Nashville and Mid- South offices.  He partners with M&M Investment Advisors across the Southeast to help serve our client’s needs.  He has over $1 billion in transaction experience covering multiple markets and property types.   Prior to joining the firm in 2012, he spent 6 years as a senior advisor with SVN- Memphis specializing in retail and office investment properties.  Mr. McKibben began his career in 1998 as cofounder and vice president of DAC Fitness where he led and oversaw all company matters involving real estate, sales and marketing.

Mr. McKibben graduated magna cum laude from the University of Memphis Fogelman College of Business and Economics with a BBA in Finance, where he was a four-year varsity baseball letterman, and 1997 Scholar Athlete of the Year.
